I never...

Photobucket

... in a million years thought I' have a red head.
...know what to do with your hair.
...imaged your eyes would be so blue.
...thought you'd hide things down your shirt at age 2.
...pictured you'd be so clever.
...dreamed your giggle would bring me so much joy.

...realized how much I would love you. Completely. Love. You.

Autum: This one's for you ONEHM

Photobucket

Everything Little Dreamer. Thanks Heidi. I'm back and loving every minute.

Tangie Baxter is having a very fun challenge right now. I should know because I just finished it. And you too can get in on the action. Only a few more hours left.

Remembering Day 1

Photobucket

I stayed up WAY too late last night. I had too much time alone (which never happens) & so to fill it, I decided I would scrap a page that I should have done years ago.

It's about the Day that HY was born. I'm totally out of my scrapbook groove, but I need to get back into gear and get some of these older memories out on paper. I realized that I was looking through my pictures of him as a baby, that I don't remember all the things I wish that I did. I didn't have a blog! So, I'll have to dig deep for some of these. But this one was an easy memory. I'll never forget how I felt. And now, he'll know too someday.

Beautiful

In my spare time (meaning)---between solving potty problems, taking the kids to the splash park (disaster), playing a mean game of Phase Ten with my sister's boys, playing the little pool with HY & taking pictures---I did this page for Mini-E. I cleaned out a bunch of my scrap booking stuff & got some new inspiration. I'm trying to get back into the groove. Trying at least.

It's hard to believe that my boy is THREE.

Where did the time go?
I love you sweet HY.
Thanks for making me a mamma.

Out of practice

Photobucket

Here's my scrapbook page this month!
Okay, maybe not for the ENTIRE month, but that's about my norm for scrapbooking.
I'm just unmotivated since I printed out my blog.

But I am not giving up.
I've got to find time to do a page here and there.
My kids love their books, so I'm determined to keep it up.

Lovely typo. Better fix that!

It's been a while...

Photobucket

...since I've done any of these. I guess I've been busy doing other things & just haven't had the time to sit down a do a LO. I have plenty of pictures to use, but just no inspiration. But this page didn't take me that long which was nice since it's been a long time & I figured I'd have to re-learn a few things. I like the simplicity of it.

52 Blessings: 11 & 12 INPO

Who knows how many weeks I'm behind on this 52 blessings thing, but I can't give up! Just like this little girl. I posted that she's started walking. In the past 2 weeks (of course since I've been gone and working) she's decided to walk & even run now. And for me, that's been a blessing--at least for now. Before she would cry because she couldn't keep up with us & wanted to be carried all the time. And I'm just not a carry you all the time mother. So, now that she walks, she can get to where she's going much easier. Everyone seems happier. Of course, HY can tease her much more easily now. He knocks her down every chance he gets. And as of last night, he lures her into a room and then shuts her in. Ah, the blessings of having a brother!

The other blessing that came into my life about 38 days ago is this blog. Okay, it's not totally the blog, but the opportunity to take pictures. I love taking pictures, but I'm not terrific, probably like a lot of you. I wanted to improve my skills and so I asked Tina if she'd be apart of this with me. Of course, she accepted. I've had so much fun & I think* I've gotten better with my photos and use of photoshop. It has made scrapbooking even that much better. I really love some of the photos that I've taken. And that was pretty rare before. So, thank you Miss Tina for being so encouraging & letting me place my amateur photos next to yours. It's an honor & a blessing.

One for the road.

I haven't scraped anything in a long time, or so it seems. So before I begin this long 2 week journey of subbing all day & then teaching my regular night class, I thought I'd take a moment to do something creative. This is what I came up with.

Tomorrow I'm off to teach 7th, 8th, & 9th graders about Science (something I know little about & wish I understood a lot more than I do--Can anyone explain Buoyancy to me?). I'll try to get on periodically & post, but I can promise nothing. Please excuse my absence.

Reflection

{{credits: delacrow sugar& cream kit & mat, miss mint after midnight sticker}}

Sometimes I get so focused on one thing that I neglect to do others. I have been so busy editing this blog/book to get it printed that I have left little time for scrapping. I have taken some really cool pictures---which would make one think that I'd be inspired to scrap them. But it wasn't until I got the coolest best friend coupon to get some stuff at Tangie's store, that I felt inspired to do this. Thanks again tina for...well, you know! Everything.

52 Blessings: 10

This girl has been a blessing in my life for over 15 years. She's the epitomy of love, caring, & friendship. She's been my best friend through thick & thin, happy & sad, laughter & tears. She inspires me to be a better person. She's one of God's gifts to me & anyone who knows her.
I love you my dear friend! You bless my life more than you realize.

52 Blessings: 9 INPO

This is a huge blessing in my life.
Confession: I've always struggled to be consistant with reading the scriptures. It's one of those things that I KNOW I SHOULD do, but sometimes I get lazy.
It's funny though, with my word this year being HOPE, I've found that the more consistant I am with reading the scriptures or praying that the more HOPE I have. The easier it is to hold on to that hope. These 2 are directly correlated.
So, there you go. More scripture study= more HOPE.

52 Blessings: 7 INPO

Yesterday I was looking through a few blogs. And thinking (which one should never do) about how unPERFECT my life is. Now, I'm no dummie---I know that people don't put the entire truth about their lives on their blogs. I mean, who wants their dirty laundry out there for everyone to see? Not me! But, I started thinking about all the stuff that makes life hard & I came to the conculsion that---I'm grateful for it. Not all of it (yet), but some of it--I'm grateful for. Why? Because it makes me stronger, it makes me appreciate the good in life, it makes me cherish the happy-picture perfect moments (however fleeting they may be). So as I sit here --not having showered yet & eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (that I can't stand) as my first "real" meal of the day.... here's "My not so PERFECT life" that I consider a blessing.

Currently: my kitchen floor is swept & MOPPED, I played cars with HY, my kids are sleeping (or were until I started typing that), I'm on my 7th load of laundry & I'm considering dinner.

52 blessings: 6 INPO

Yesterday, Farmboy's parents came to visit our family. They brought Uncle A with them. This is the first time that he's seen HY in over 2 years(he's been on a mission) & the first time he's met Mini-E.
I am so grateful for these 2 individuals. They are such fun grandparents. They love to get on the ground & play with my kids. I am so grateful for the love they show them. What a great blessing they are.
Today, they took my little ones and I got to spend some time alone. I accomplished more than I thought I would. It's been a dream! So I made this page in honor of them!

Lifted

Yes that's right. I'm a lifter. I lifted these LO's from Tina. I think she's okay with that since she loves me sooooo very much! I just couldn't resist. When you've got such cute ideas, you know that somebody is bound to copy them. At least the child is mine, right?

52 Blessings : INPO (5)

Only a week behind on my 52 blessings (I'm pretty sure this is NOT the way they were meant to be posted...but alas, I AM doing them). Today's blessing is one that may sound a little strange to some of you, but here goes. I am grateful for the blessing of 50 degree weather! For 2 days now, we've had SuNShInE! And that my dears is what I call a miracle in these parts. I took my 2 babes to the park--2 Days in a ROW. As you can see they LOVED it. We were so bundled up that we nearly sweat to death. Today, we've got another storm brewing--but for just a moment I could see the buds of spring shooting up. It was a blessing to say the least!

52 Blessings: INPO (4)

My sisters are some of the greatest blessings in my life. I do wish that Aunt Runnie lived a lot closer to us. We would have so much fun it would be sickening. No matter how far away we live, we still manage to stay close with our hearts. Template found here by Onehm { Retrodiva-Be mine Kit, random shabby princess flower: recolored}
