Hitting the Streets

That's what we've been doing the past few days. I figured that I'd better get outside the house and have some fun with my kids before they trade me in for a younger....funner...(totally a word) version.



A parking we will go. TWO days in a row!!! Then today we went to the splash park!! Impressed? I am. And my slightly tanner arms are proof of our outside excursions.

Mini E could spend all day on the swings. I think I did about a million under-doggies.


HY decided that he would like to ride his trike. Proof that he's a big boy. And his shoes are on the wrong feet. Proof that he's not quite that big! And that makes me smile just a bit.




The splash park wasn't quite as full as we thought it might be. That was good for us.
Mini-E got to try out here new swimming suit from Aunt A. I think she looks quite darling in green...runny nose and all.



HY spent most of his time playing with friends that he didn't know. He's very good at making new friends. I'm trying to help him remember to ask them their names instead of calling them..."that one guy" or "that kid with the shark on his shirt"...



It took a bit of coxing for Mini-E to venture into the water. Even though it was hot, the water was FREEZING.



She too has the ability to make friends with just about anyone--as long as they have food.

Tricks! And by the way, he did share those Cheetos with her. Sneaky little girl.


So that's our day!
I've got a load to fold, a few more pictures to edit, and homemade pizza dough to roll out. After which dinner, clean up, bed time, and a movie for Mamma and Daddy.

Not bad for a Friday night.

It's finally warm enough that we can go OUTSIDE! It was almost hot (a whopping 75 degrees). So we enjoyed a bit of time at the park. HY & Mini-E couldn't have been happier. They love being outside, and I love the way they sleep after a long fun day! HY absolutely loves the swings & begs for me to give him an "underdoggie." He can't get enough of those swings.

Our President's Day looked like this:

It's always hard to find a place to go when it's not entirely warm outside. Then, throw in no money to spend & it gets even harder. So we went to Wheeler Farm (for the upteenth time) because it's FREE. This time we took a picnic & called it good. I think it was the most Perfect President's Day! HY & Mini-E riding on the wagon

52 Blessings : INPO (5)

Only a week behind on my 52 blessings (I'm pretty sure this is NOT the way they were meant to be posted...but alas, I AM doing them). Today's blessing is one that may sound a little strange to some of you, but here goes. I am grateful for the blessing of 50 degree weather! For 2 days now, we've had SuNShInE! And that my dears is what I call a miracle in these parts. I took my 2 babes to the park--2 Days in a ROW. As you can see they LOVED it. We were so bundled up that we nearly sweat to death. Today, we've got another storm brewing--but for just a moment I could see the buds of spring shooting up. It was a blessing to say the least!

To-Do Saturday.

Things to do: repot flowers, mow the lawn (Farmboy)...
Sand & Restain the front bench
Wash the car (good job HY for not crying this time)
Go to the park with Aunt CC's boys. But---
HOT, HOT HOT....Go home, watch movie, eat, play!

We were busy busy on Saturday. The best part of the day was having Too-Cool B & Wonder M come over & play. We normally go visit them at their house, so today was very special. Too bad it was so blasted hot. Look at these kids--red faces and all.
