This is what I call work

Yesterday we helped Aunt CC clean out her storage room. We came home with all sorts of fun stuff. Why is it always easier to help someone clean out their junk instead of your own???

She asked (I offered) to do her Christmas card this year. So today, I made this (and a few other Christmas cards) for my sweet sister. I don't think this is her "final" card---so those of you who know her will be receiving "THE REAL DEAL" in the mail when it's time. Just thought I'd show a little bit of what I was working on today. Look who just popped in...

Sunday nite, we had a few visitors. We couldn't be more excited to see these girls. Dancin' N aka Treat Queen , Scully, & Miss Parker came to see us! Scully was in town for literally a few hours & she couldn't resist seeing her favorite kiddos, HY & Mini-E. I swear these kids look more like her than me. Luck for them! We love you Auntie Scully. Wish you lived much much closer. And girls, I'm serious about having a roommate's reunion! Get on it!

What you've all been waiting for...

Since Aunt Runnie & her girls were in town, we decided that we really wanted to do some pictures of 3 generations on the matriachal side. I love how these pictures turned out. In fact, I love them so much that it's nearly impossible to pick my favorites. Thanks again Miss Parker for giving me something totally priceless. I will forever cherish these pictures.

It makes me reflect on the power of one woman. Each of us has the ability to influence so many (especially in our own families) lives for good. Thank you Mom for being my inspiration & example of good not only when I was a child, but even now that I have my own children. I hope I can be a powerful influence for good in their lives like you are in mine. I love you!

If you can dream it "Friday" posted Saturday

Yesterday I didn't have time to post (sorry to all you daily readers...I'm sure you all sat at home-by your computers, just waiting and waiting for If you can dream it "Friday"...okay, maybe you didn't). I was out with Nonna "dreaming" about how I could decorate my house with all the thousands of $ I have. We saw so many things that we loved. The coolest rustic yellowish table for my entry way was here at Rod Works. Of course, I didn't come home with anything. But, it was fun to think about it.

Last night, I saw the hottest fashion show around: Raw Couture in SLC. Lucky me, I know the hottest model in Salt Lake City---so I got a freebie ticket. Thanks Miss Parker, so much fun. You were the absolute BEST model up there (love the shoes, love the walk, love the green feathers).

Here I Go Again...How can I resist ya?

Mamma Mia! Here's a shout out to all my musical theater buffies. I love this show. It's one of my favorites to sing along to. I saw it a few years in ago in Salt Lake with Miss Parker and then again this last summer in Vegas with Aunt Runnie and Shellbell. SOOOO good! If you haven't seen it and you LOVE ABBA---Go. You'll be dancing and singing in the ailse.

Family + Mini E= LOVE

Look at our wonderful family. All of them for Mini E's specially day. Thanks so much to all those who came from the warmer land by plane or car. It meant the world to us.

Chubba Lubba

Mini E had her 2 month check up yesterday. As you can see, she passed with flying colors! She was nearly 11 lbs and 22 inches long. She's a grow'in. She's just one big roll after another. There's no messin' around with this girl. She eats! We love those "elephant rolls."

Ode to Thrifty

Dearest Thrifty how I love you so.

I remember when a scoop of Chocolate Malted Crunch was only 25 cents. Sometimes, we were allowed to get 2 scoops, if you can believe it! And of course, there was always the brother or two that asked for a bit and took nearly the entire scoop right off its crispy cone. But CC was there to save the day. She would offer to make a "pony tail" out of the ice cream still standing on the cone. How could little me resist swirly "pony tails" covering my ice cream. CC was the smart one. She got more ice cream than those stupid brothers any day. But I didn't mind. Ah, the good old days!

This ode brought to you on account that Miss Parker had to go and bring up the fact that we are seriously lacking good ice cream in this state. I shall have to wait to have a scoop when I return to AZ (or CA). The wait is killing me!
