Rubba-dub-dub

Since I started this other blog with Tina, I've been obsessed with pictures. I figured that if I'm going to be taking these pictures, I should probably put them to use in my home as decoration. Well, I need something in my kids' bathroom. It has nothing to speak for when it comes to decoration. So, I thought a picture or two might help. Here's my favorite so far. Check out more here.

If this doesn't make your mouth water...

...then I don't know what will! Okay, CONFESSION time. This is my Number 1 Guilty Pleasure:

That's right baby. Lemons & Salt. I grew up in Arizona---we had lemon trees galore. I know it's horrible for my teeth & all that, but I just can't help myself. Sadly, I have turned many a friend, sister-in-law, & child (minus the salt) over to this guilty pleasure. Just looking at this makes my mouth water.

But that's not what I'm gonna talk about today. We've been very busy doing this today:
Queezing lemons for summer lemonaid. Doesn't that just sound divine? HY decided that he had to taste the results.... (If you are asking yourself why HY has a piggy tail in his hair, it's because he wants to be like Mini-E)

But even before we took on the task of queezing our home grown Arizona Lemons (thank you so much Grandpa S), we did a little rearranging of HY's bedroom. I don't have a surpluss of cash to decorate his room the way I want to, so I just move the furniture around that that holds me off for a few more months.

So now, HY is taking a nap & Mini-E is doing this so that I can get a bit of blog time. What more could I ask for? Thank goodness for toys that after having been put away for a month or two feel like new again on the re-entry.

Of course, some of you may be thinking, "well, that's just what she's done today---what's she been doing since Monday?"...and if you ARE thinking that...then you check the blog way too much & you need to get out more (no...just kidding--but that is a bit weird). I have been working on a few of these bows/flowers for Mini-E. What do you think?

And this tutorial helped me show them off.

Just waiting for CrazyMama to do a bow tutorial...hint hint.

Need Your Help!

Alright, I'm in the process of changing my topper for the Christmas Season. This morning I took a few pictures & then messed around with them on Photoshop. Please tell me which one you think would be best for a blog topper.

1) sneaky HY

2) Mini-E under the tree (differnt colors)

3) Sepia Mini-E

4) Soft Tree & Piano Christmas Setting

5) Mini-E in AH

6) The ornament grab

7) Rudolf & Mini-E

8) HY Ornament

Sorry there are so many to choose from.

I'm lucky I got as many good shots as I did.

I'm pretty excited because this year is Mini-E's FIRST Christmas!

Cowboy Up!

On Tuesday evening, I got a sub for my ESL class & we drove up to Midway for the long anticipated Cowboy Poetry! I know what some of you may be thinking: BOOOOORING! You'd be wrong. It's so much fun. We had dinner, listened to some of the most talented cowboy singers in the world, & laughed so hard we nearly....well, you get the picture. My personal favorite was Dave Stamey! Hope this becomes a yearly tradition. Thanks again to Grandad Grey and Grandma J for one WILD evening! We ate dinner on our laps so that we could get a good seat!

I love this picture of Lovin'H & her Daddy.

The last 2 pictures I played around with...but you already knew that.

Then & Now

As I was talking to a friend of mine today, we were discussing how much we dislike the old fashioned way of scrapbooking (cut, paste....hate). I was telling her that a few years ago, I knew that I needed to get into digital scrapbooking, but didn't know what I was doing. She suggested that I show one of my old pages. Well, here you have it. As pathetic as it WAS: Poor HY---his early pages look this sad. So I've decided that I need to slowly go back & re-do some of these pages. So, here's what I did to replace this one:When I showed it to Farmboy, he was concerned about all those other pictures...Not to worry, they can have their own LO. Quality is always more important that Quantity, right!
I think it's much better. What do you think?

Inspired by new knowledge

In talking with Tina this morning, I realized that there is A LOT of stuff that I don't know how to do with Photoshop (I sure wish that I could have been there to take her photoshop class). I should give myself "snaps" for knowing more than I did a year ago---or even 3 months ago. You'd be amazed at all the things you can learn on other people's sites. I read this tutorial today & was inspired to do this with this picture of HY: {the poem is by yours truly}

I was just playing around with Photo Shop today & here's a before & after for you. Uncle L "the great" & Smarty K at the ball game. Grandad took the picture. Wish I could have been there. I love baseball.
