Cowboy Up!

On Tuesday evening, I got a sub for my ESL class & we drove up to Midway for the long anticipated Cowboy Poetry! I know what some of you may be thinking: BOOOOORING! You'd be wrong. It's so much fun. We had dinner, listened to some of the most talented cowboy singers in the world, & laughed so hard we nearly....well, you get the picture. My personal favorite was Dave Stamey! Hope this becomes a yearly tradition. Thanks again to Grandad Grey and Grandma J for one WILD evening!We ate dinner on our laps so that we could get a good seat!

Howdy

On Saturday, we gladly made a trip to Midway to visit Grandad Grey & Grandma J. Boy HOWDY did we have fun! HY loved the rodeo. We weren't sure that he'd last the entire show, but he was totally enthrawled with all the cowboys & animals. Mini-E's favorite part was the fireworks. My favorite part was just being with family!

Midway between here and there

Yesterday(in honor of Mother's Day), I didn't do anything motherly. I didn't do any laundry. I left dirty dishes in the sink. I didn't make anybody's bed. I didn't vacuum. I didn't sweep OR mop the kitchen floor. I didn't clean any toilets. I didn't even make DINNER! Instead we did this:

We had so much fun in Midway. We had lunch at Taco Time, went swimming, looked for squirrels, watched a movie(Song of the South), and Grandma J even made us Pizza for dinner. Wish everyday could be this fun.

Date Night

On Saturday night, Aunt CC and Nonna watched the little HY so that Farmboy and I could go out on a much deserved "date night". Since Grandad Grey and Grandma J were/are in town, we invited them to come along. Of course, this was our excuse to go to Settebello again! YUM! We had salads, pizza margerita, and cannoli for dessert.

Here are a few pictres from the night. Looks like Mini-E knows what a goofy guy Grandad is! We sure love Grandad Grey and Grandma J! We are gonna play some more with them today.

Dad

We thought that we had spring here---we were wrong. Winter is back and so once again we have been forced to stay inside. We did get to go run a few errands: the post office, the bank (we came and went without puking--horray), and out to lunch with Aunt CC, Nonna, and Too Cool B. HY cried his eyes out when he had to say "bye-bye" to Aunt CC. So, as the little ones slept, I made this little something for Grandad Grey. We can't wait until he and Grandma J can come and visit us again. Love you!
