it was Time for a Change

I've been growing Mini-E's hair out for quite a while hoping that I would be able to do cute things with it. Pony tails, braids, buns...etc. But, it just wasn't working. Her hair is super straight (like her daddy's) and very fine. And she would take it out midway through the day. Let's face it, she looked like a rag-a-muffin most of the day. So, instead of holding on to a dream of beautiful long baby hair, I opted for the cute cut.

I'm now realizing why my own hair is rarely long. I think she wears it very well. And I love the dimple that comes along with it.

More shots of the new do here.

Now she even lets me take the round brush and blow dryer to it. Feeling pretty good about my styling abilities more each day.

Chop. Chop.

Well, we did it. We chopped off Mini-E's hair. It was just getting a little too ragga-muffin-ee. So, We took her down to the Cookie Cutter's and treated her to cut. She's a natural at getting her hair done. Didn't make a fuss at all(so unlike her older brother). She just sat in her pink Cadillac and watched Elmo while she got pampered. Afterward, a sucker & balloon.

What you've all been waiting for:

I know that you have all been patiently waiting for the winners of the "Pay it Forward" Contest....And they are

(Drum roll please)........

Okay, go count & see if you are one of the winners. Just kidding. I actually did count it out by hand about 3 times to insure perfection. And I think that you will all be pleased to hear that 3 DIFFERENT people won. But before I tell you their names I want to tell you why it's taken me so long to post this today. I was busy doing this:

Yes sir-ree...I chopped off my hair. It's different, but I think that I'm liking it. HY & Mini-E even noticed a difference. They are starting to warm up to me again. But, you all are the first to see it---besides my mother & sister. Even Farmboy has yet to see me. So, if you love it...tell me so , if you don't---then---that's okay too, but I'd rather not hear that you think it's hideous.

BACK to the Winners. First let me say, THANK YOU so so much to everyone who played & just had fun. I loved reading all of your comments (I read ever single one of the 146 comments).

Don't forget that if you didn't win, you can still play the game. Of course, the 3 winners are OBLIGATED to play the game. And "Pay it Forward"

The Winners are:

Some of you may remember this post. My dilema of my hair...yadda yadda yadda...Here's the proof about how bad it really truely was (granted, my hair had been in a pony tail the entire day & it was nearly 9 pm& I was going for the really bad "before picture---achieved way too easily):

Seriously can't believe I'm showing this on the blog.

Kudos to my little cousin LZ for making me presentable to the world once again! She certainly had her hands full with that hair.

The universe is speaking to me...

...but am I going to listen???

So lately it seems that every where I look people are getting their hair cut. I run into a friend at the store & she introduces me to ...yep..."a girl who does hair"! I visit a friend in the ward. She asks, "So who does YOUR hair?" Tina got her hair cut a few months ago= darling. Graffit just got her hair cut last week= darling! So, what's the deal? Should I cut it or not. It's simply horrible in my opinion, but perhaps I'm just going thru the "in-between-stage." I put it in a pony tail EVERY single day. No joke! And when I say 'get it cut'...I mean...ALL of it! Off! Short! So, what think all you beauty queens, mothers, & friends?
