How do you spend your nights?

Photobucket

Having a new baby can be hard on some people. Getting to bed late and waking up early. And maybe waking up a few times in between. I don't mind most of it. I like how quiet and peaceful night time is. I'm a night owl and think that I always have been. Waking up early is NOT my thing.

I do enjoy the moments that I have with Miss AvaJ. I "top her off" right around 11pm or 12 am so that she'll let me sleep longer into the night. I get to hold her and tell her stories about Daddy. This is also when I get my letter writing to Farmboy done. It's really a nice time of night. Lonely, sometimes, but reflective and nice.

This particular night she slept about 6 to 7 hours straight which would have been heaven if I hadn't been up with HY all night. He had a "sick bug" as we call them in our house. And he's very proud to admit that he "puked"! He's feeling better now. We've all had it. But I think we're on the upside of it. Thankfully. I was so grateful that she slept thru this long night with my oldest not feeling well. It was tender mercy from above.

somebody's getting chubby

It's hard to say how much this little one has grown, but the double chin would suggest...

I love this time. It's gotta be the only time in life when people commend you for putting on a weight:

I give it 2 thumbs up...

It's official, I'm in love with someone that's chubby AND hairy.

My sweet friend gave this darling baby tutu to me as a gift. Little Miss Ava J wasn't sure she liked it at first, but I sure do! Nonna always said the name Ava J was kind of riskee..

I'm still wondering what color eyes these will be. Somedays they look blue and other days I'm not sure. My other 2 babies eyes were clearly blue. But this little one has me guessing. What do you think? Straight out of the Camera...so no color change made.

Before she was born, Daddy said that he had a dream the baby was a girl and she had brown eyes. Of course he also said she was dark headed...and I believe it's strawberry blond again. Just like the rest of our kiddos. She's certainly one of ours and we're glad we got her!

Right Now

I'm packing a bag for the hospital. I'm NOT going...but I just thought I might want to be prepared in case I need to go.

Purging a bit of junk and getting laundry done. I'm noticing all of Farmboy's clothes that I won't be washing for a long time. Bitter sweet. I'm sure that baby clothes will fill that gap quickly.

9 days to go before the little one makes an appearance.

NINE days. NINE.

She said...

"This is one wild baby!"

Straight from the dr.s mouth. Yep.

I had another Non-stress test today to measure baby's heart rate. Etc.

When the dr. saw the results she asked if I had any Caffeine that day.

Nope.

"Well, good luck then!"

AWESOME!

Only16 more days to go. You think I'll make it?

Farmboy had the right idea. He's getting out here in less than 7 days. Lucky guy!

I can explain

So....it's been a while. Okay, more than a while. A long time. Even for me. But I have a few good excuses, but I'll get into that in a minute. First I have to tell you about the Circus Parade that we saw today. We waited for about 30 minutes for the Circus to march down the Gateway and it took about 15-20 minutes for the entire parade...but it was worth it to see this:

{Mini-E ventured into the splash fountain just a bit}

Surprisingly it was a hot 70 degrees in the sun! And I was a bit toasty. The shade was just right if you ask me. But getting out just what we needed. Sometimes being a mom, it's just easier to stay home. It's cheaper too, most of time. So when we have the chance to get out and do something unique {like see elephants} we take the opportunity.

So, my excuse for not blogging in over a month is...we're expecting a baby. End of March. Ta-Da! We are very excited and a bit nervous for our lives to change once again. Good news is that I think we can fit 3 car seats in our current vehicle. This is a HUGE blessing. The really fun part is hearing HY and Mini talk about the babies in their tummies. So we're off on another wonderful adventure. Wish us luck...we'll need it.

If you can dream it Friday

Here's a picture of my newest nephew! He's a dream come true for this family. My brother, Uncle R-D & his wife Aunt Lala tried for many years to get pregnant. This is miracle #4 for this family! Congradulations. We couldn't be happier! We can't wait to meet this new guy & hear his name! By the way: He was "only" 8lb 9oz. Just a little guy compared to Baby O (weighing in at 10 lbs).

Baby Boom

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of people are having babies? There must be quite a line in heaven to get down here. Lise had her baby on Saturday (horray) and California J had her baby the same day.
Here's a picture of California J's baby --I like I'll call him Baby PS. He's the smallest of her 3 kids. Which is a relief because the other 2 were 9 and 10lbers. So happy to have him here. Can't wait to see him in person.
Still awaiting the arrival of Cherbear's baby boy!!!!
