Top Ten Tuesday

Sometimes I get so busy that I don't have a chance to even mention what I did. I'm sure I'm not the only one & let's face it...it's probably best to be busier than your ability to document it. So this post is dedicated to all the things (okay, only 10 things) that I've done or my family has done & was just too busy to post. In the order in which I found the pictures on my computer.
10. Here's a video of a toy that I found at DI for only a couple of bucks. Not bad for something that cost 10x as much new. This was the day that I brought it home. HY is lovin' it. Of course, it's currently outside with melted snow surrounding it. This was taken Halloween Day.

9. These are HY's church shoes. He loves loves loves them. As you can see, they are used for a lot more than just Church. They are even being warn in the previous video.

8. In October, we took a tour of the Sweet's Factory in Salt Lake City. Here we are sporting our attractive hair nets & free taffy sample. It was a delicious day! Even Mini-E thought so.

7. Also in October, all of us girls were treated to "The Secret Garden" at Hale Theater. As usual, the play was fabulous, but the company was the Most fun. Thanks Nonna for such a fun treat.

6. Here's a little something I did for all the nursery kids. It's a placemat that they are supposed to use for treat time. I'm the nursery coordinator in our ward so I get to play with all 3 nurseries in our ward. I took each child's photo & then made up this template. Now I just need to print them all out & lamenate them.

5. This particular picture I love. Not because we all look fabulous but because we are singing "Arizona, zona...sunshines above us---darling, I love it! Woo! Arizona's home to me!"

4. A trip to Wheeler Farm all the way back in October. HY & Farmboy checking out the ducks.

3.I took a picture of this house because it so stinking awesome. It's locted in Midway & I love to drive past it when we visit Grandad. It's designed after a Swiss home. It's so beautiful...and the roof is incredible. How I'd love to take a walk thru this one.

2. Here's a LO that I did last week with some of the pictures that I took of my kids in front of the Christmas tree.

#1: All the way back in July, Miss Sparkle surprised me for my birthday by coming to visit me. I always meant to put a few pictures up of these 2 cuties. I'm not really sure why I love these pictures so much. I was actually quite sad when I took them. She was getting ready to leave. And we were saying goodbye. I didn't want her to go. What a great friend to come & spend a day or two just with me. And what a great mom! (with fabulous hair).

Hard to believe...

...this kid is mine!

(this isn't the greatest picture because I took it)
But here are the top 10 Reasons I love this boy!

10. He's always happy in the morning.
9. He knows what every person in the family drives. He can spot a car on the freeway that looks like Grandma's. "Mamma, look Aunt CC's truck!" Or "Where's Nonna's car?"
8. He loves to make Mini-E laugh. And give her zurberts.
7. He can put a train set together(almost) all by himself. So smart.
6. He loves loves loves Nursery & never cries when I leave.
5. He brings me the wipies when I have to change Mini-E's diaper.
4. He's silly. He'll close his eyes and walk around like he's blind.
3. He puts himself in Time-Out if he's done something wrong.
2. He's always excited to see people...friends, family, & especially Aunt CC.

And #1:
When I go somewhere & come back, he says, " Oh mamma, I missed you" and then gives me a big kiss.

ToP TEn Tuesday

Here are the top ten things that I'll be doing or already have done today (sorry no pictures, who has time for pictures when you've got a list like this?):
10. Cleaning up the basement. I spent 2 hours on it yesterday & another 2 hours today. Sadly...it's not done YET.
9. Catching up on blogging. I can't devote hours everyday to blogging (I know, you are surprised) so I try to look at everyone's blog at least once a week. A few everyday...
8. Drop a load of junk off at DI! (please see #10)
7. Read to HY his favorite Tractor book
6. Change blog topper (picture from Miss Sparkle)
5. Clean the kitchen
4. Vaccum
3. Laundry (you'd think that after I did it yesterday that it would STAY done)
2. Do my hair & makeup!

And the #1 thing I'll be doing today (and I'm the most excited about)
Going to Midway for Dinner & Cowboy Theater
compliments of my sweet Dad!
It's gonna be one funnnnnnn day!

Top Ten Tuesday

These are the Top TEN reasons that I LOVE living near family:

10. Aunt Lala lets us "drop in" whenever we want. And look at what these 3 boys are doing. Cowboys with plastic hangers. I guess that where HY learned this as well:

9. We get to hang out with these kiddos & make lasting memories in a wet pumpkin field! Can't beat that for fun.

8. Built in Babysitters: Lovin'H just loves our Mini-E. And HY can't wait to see Super-K!They are always willing to watch our little ones at a moments notice. Even if it means putting off homework.

7. On Friday we got to go to a Bridal Shower & visit Grandma & Grandpa Great F. I love that Mini-E & HY not only have Great Grandparents but get to see them on a regular basis.

6. Play Dates with Cousins: Today we hoped in the car & visited Aunt Lala & her kiddos. (We had so much fun the last "pop in" that we decided to schedule an appointment for FUN. And that's exactly what these 2 boys had...F-U-N!

I love that I got this picture of Boy-O.
It's rare to find him pleasant for the camera.

5. GRANDAD! Need I say more. We love to visit Grandma J & Grandad Grey up in Midway. This past week we had a blast Carving Pumpkins with him & Aunt CC's kids. Oh the drama.
4. Parties Parties: There's always a party when family is around. We try to celebrate every chance we can. Wether it's dinner on Sundays or Birthdays at the Lodge, we are always up for a PAR-TAY! And that means FOOD! Yum.

3. Lots of Mothers: Here's a classic picture of Aunt CC & HY. He just loves the extra mothering he gets from her. And Nonna can work miracles with HY in church.

2. We get to see Aunt Little S now that she's going to BYU. Which gives Grandma Suz & Grandpa S just one more reason to visit us!

And the #1 Reason I love living near family:

Makes me feel like I'm home.
I have always considered myself an AZ girl.
But home is wherever the family is! (unless they decide to move to Alaska)

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Things I SHOULD get rid of:

10. Old Hair Products that I don't use! OR perhaps I should start using them.

9. Old Shirts: that I never wear. OR I could do what Cousin Heidi did...pretty dang cool.

8. CD's that I never listen to. Perhaps I should enter the world of IPOD??

Never gonna happen!

7. Kid's toys that Never get played with. (okay that car definitely gets played with)

6. Things in the basement that haven't seen the light of day in YEARS!

5. Cords? What are these to anyway? Just pull them out!
(Oh ya, Farmboy'd love that...)

4. Shoes that have no style & no outfits to match them.
And yet, I continue to wear some of them.

3. Watches that don't work...yep, I've kept them.

2. Random Clutter: Can't believe I live in this EVERY day.

1. Bad Habits: I guess that should take care of the rest of it! So, anybody want my garbage? Nope? Didn't think so. I guess this calls for a run to D.I.

Top 10 Reasons...

I know they are mine! (idea stolen from Tina)

10. This little girl loves to sleep in!She eats breakfast & wants to go right back to bed. A girl after my own hear! Little petite thing.

9. HY loves taking shower---HOT showers. He's definitely got AZ blood in him.
8. After taking a hot shower, this little man loves to run around naked. That's all I'm gonna say about that...

7. Mini-E has the little toe that curles under( just like Nonna too).

6. HY enjoys the snow about as much as I do. But we are both getting used to it.

5. Smiling with ALL his teeth, HY will grin from ear to ear showing his gums. Just like me.

4.Mini-E has her Mamma's taste in clothing. Most of the time, it's just fine, but sometimes we get a little excentric. Sorry Mini-E...that comes from Nonna too.

3. "Herro, this is zb....good, u-hu...okay bye bye"--typical conversation for HY to have on the phone. Definitely from me.

2. These ankles look suspiciously similar to mine. Sorry Mini-E.
AND the #1 Reason...Well they look just like me! Okay, so maybe that's one of the many reasons that we know they are FARMBOY's kids. (I have to admit that this exercise was quite difficult. I can see more of Farmboy in these 2 kiddos than myself).
