Sunday Adventures

Everybody knows that the worst place for a new baby is Church. Right? So, we haven't gone to church in a few weeks. We'd love to go, but there's rumor of strep throat and stomach flu that just don't sound appealing to us. But not to worry, we'll be back soon.

So, this last Sunday we needed to get out of the house. So, I did something that Farmboy would have done if he were here. Took a little road trip.

Before Farmboy and I even got married, we loved to go for a drive. My idea of a drive is an hour or so in the mountains looking at the flowers etc. His idea is a bit different. Our first "drive" was about 4 hours just to reach our destination. We were somewhere up in the mountains halfway across Utah. And then of course another 4 hours back. That's just the way he flies. He loves to drive and I love to sleep. We don't really take his kind of drives anymore, especially with gas being an arm and a leg. But frequently when the flowers come out or the leaves change color, we find ourselves on a Sunday afternoon with the kids in the car on a "drive"...

So that's what Mamma did with the 3 kiddos this last Sunday. But we didn't go too far. Sure enough I looked toward the back seat and I found this:

Out like a light.

But I did enjoy the scenery and the beautiful warm weather. And I wished Farmboy could have been there to enjoy the drive with me.
