Waiting

I spend a lot of time Waiting to hear from Farmboy. I've been writing him letters and just a few days ago got his address to send the very first of many over the next few months. It's strange to write a letter in this day and age. But there's something very endearing about it. Something "old fashioned" that makes me feel like a real Army wife...



I keep my phone with me at all times. Vibrate in the car and loud when I'm at home. And even on Sunday at church which has never been my style. But I know that if he calls that it will most likely be on a Sunday. So I tuck it in my bra and put it on vibrate. And sure enough ---he called. We talked for about 15 minutes. It was a little piece of heaven.
